NEBRASKA CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY
TECHNICIAN UPDATE
March 20 & 21, 2012 Kearney, Nebraska

The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety will be sponsoring a Nebraska Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician Update for certified child passenger safety technicians.

WHO SHOULD
ATTEND:

Certified Technicians who participate in child safety check-up events, inspections stations, child safety seat checks, etc.

WHY SHOULD
YOU ATTEND:

The Update is the only annual meeting held in Nebraska dedicated solely to critical issues relating to the safe transportation of children.  This year’s program will address a wide range of topics including new seats on the market, product features and trends, and LATCH.  Participants will meet other Technicians in a forum that allows them to share program successes, learn from each other, and develop alliances with others from organizations committed to the safe transportation of children.  Technician recertification CEU’s will be available for participants.  There will be seat check opportunities available at the Tuesday Check Up Event only.

DATE AND TIME:

March 20, 2012: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Senior Checker Session, Check Form Session, HealthCare Session (Sessions repeated 2:00 to 3:00)  4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. -  Check Up Event (seat check opportunities available)
March 21, 2012: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Nebraska CPS Update

REGISTRATION
FEE:

Nebraska CPS Technicians:  Registration fee is FREE.
Out-of-State CPS Technicians:  Registration fee is $50.00.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

March 7, 2012 for Nebraska CPS Technicians requesting lodging.
March 15, 2012 for all other CPS Technicians.

COURSE
LOCATION:

Holiday Inn, 110 Second Avenue, Kearney, Nebraska, 308-237-5971.  North off of I-80 at exit 272.  Turn left at first stoplight.  Detailed driving directions and hotel information can be found at www.younes.com.

LODGING:

March 7, 2012: Pre-Registration Deadline to qualify for PAID lodging.
A double occupancy room will be provided the evening of March 20 for Nebraska CPS technicians who will be traveling 100 or more miles (one way).
All other incidentals (i.e., phone calls) are your responsibility.
Lodging will NOT be paid for those registering after March 7.  If you live closer than 100 miles (one way) and wish to spend the night at your own expense, contact the hotel to make other room arrangements.
Please indicate your room need on the fax back registration form enclosed.

LUNCH:

March 21, 2012: Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
                           All other meals are on your own.

NOTE: Cancellation is required by March 14, 2012 or you will be billed for your lodging.
